KSJK Returns to the Airwaves in Jackson County

JPR's News & Information service on 1230 AM is back on the air after our transmitter site was destroyed in the Almeda Fire.

The radio tower was spared from damage, but the building which housed the equipment was reduced to a pile of ash. Reconstruction was not easy and required hazardous material testing and disposal, construction, re-establishing electrical service and sourcing specialized equipment. We appreciate your patience. Here is a picture of the site before clean-up began:
