Join us for this fun eraser stamp making class! We will carve rubber stamps using pink erasers, then print t-shirts with our new stamps. This project involves sharp cutting instruments. Students will need to supply 2 blank t-shirts (new, used, or thrifted!) and 5 pink erasers. Rogue Gallery will supply carvers, ink, ink setting heat. If students wish to purchase their own carving supplies, Speedball linocut handle and blades set are available at Central Art Supply.
All ages welcome. Children under 9 must be accompanied by adult over 18

The North Bend Public Library is hosting a Kid's Indoor "Snowball" Fight on Friday, January 26 at 4:00 PM. Children will have the opportunity to perfect their aim with “snowball” target practice and games followed by an epic "snowball" fight using our snowball pom poms. Hot chocolate and snacks will be served after the activities. It’s going to be SNOW much fun!

Pick up a card-making kit from the library starting February 1, make a Valentine's Day card (or more than one), and then bring it back to the library by February 9. All cards collected will be distributed to a local Senior Center. Participants are also welcome to use their own supplies to make extra cards.

This introduction to drawing session helps youth develop drawing skills to strengthen and enhance their artwork. Young artists will learn about composition, shading, and perspective. This is a supportive and encouraging class where students can share if they like about their art.

The North Bend Public Library is offering a monthly STEM group for children ages 8-12 called "Explore and Experiment." This monthly group will investigate STEM concepts using experiments, discussion, and problem-solving. This month, participants will explore simple machines by constructing a claw machine using paper cups and a straw. Registration is required. Tyler Spencer's Didgeridoo Experience is coming to the North Bend Public Library on Wednesday, February 14 at 5:00 PM.! Attendees will learn about Australian music and didgeridoos while moving and grooving to funky didgeridoo rhythms, percussive beats, and storytelling! Tyler Spencer is a master didgeridoo player and crafter. He is based out of Newport and has been performing, teaching, and making didgeridoos for over 20 years. His interactive Didgeridoo Experience is fun for all ages!

The North Bend Public Library Foundation is hosting a Fundraising Concert to benefit the upcoming renovation of the North Bend Public Library on Saturday, February 17 from 2:00-4:00 PM. The benefit concert will include performances by the North Bend High School Jz Choir, Tree-O, Sounds of Joy, Willie and the South Coast Bluegrass Band, and Sea Breeze Harmony and will be held in the Meeting Room at the North Bend Public Library. Special guest The Unipiper will also perform before the concert in the Library parking lot from 1:15-1:45 PM. The concert is a family-friendly event suitable for all ages. Admission to the concert is by donation at the door.
